The 68th Annual Golden Globes

The 68th Annual Golden Globes was held yesterday, January 16th 2011, and the big winner of the night was The Social Network. This movie won the category Best Motion Picture-Drama and it was definitely a deserving win in my opinion. Where would the world be without Facebook, right? That's something I don't want to imagine...like ever.

Other notable winners were the tv series Glee (with two cast members winning awards as well). Glee adds a little extra sparkle to the average Tv show format and you have to admire how hard the cast works in prepping for all the songs and dance numbers and not to mention acting scenes. I was smiling like a proud parent when they won!

Natalie Portman and Colin Firth claimed the prestigious Best Performance by an Actor/Actress awards. Natalie for her role in Black Swan and Colin for his role in The King's Speech.

Hope you managed to catch the show, I always think its great to see the hollywood celebs being about as real as we could hope to see them. It's refreshing, but please do keep on working. Movies and Tv shows continue to be the driving force of the entertainment industry and life would be terribly boring without them.
