Press pLAy : Regina Spektor
I've recently been listening to Regina Spektor's fifth and most recent album Far, which is more then magical. She has a beautiful voice and her sound is perfect if you feel like listening to something chilled, sad but still just plain amazing.
The best tracks on this album are:
* Eet (this song was featured on an episode of 90210 Season 2)
* Laughing With
Regina Spektor also lended her voice to the soundtrack for the movie The Chronicals of Narnia: Prince Caspian. The song is The Call and is rated as one of my favourite songs of all time. For anyone travelling around the world, and far away from friends and families, just listen to The Call and it will make you feel reassured that you left for a reason and that you'll be back when you are finished.
Press pLAy and Savour the sound :)

The Sharks dominated the match and took a 30 to 10 win over Western Province. Patrick Lambie was truelly the star of the game scoring 2 out of the total 3 tries for The Sharks. Congratulations to The Sharks for an impressive match win and applause to Western Province for attempting to swim in shark infested waters!

Tv Shows of the 90s
Let's take a little trip down our tv history memory paths and remember the greats of the 90s
** The first one that comes to mind is Doctor Quinn Medicine Woman
This show was about a woman who decides to move her children to a small western community called Colorado Springs. It is there that she faces the challenges of practicing medicine in what the townspeople see as a male dominated profession and also where she falls in love with an indian called Sully. The show had a big cowboys and indians vibe and despite the plot sounding strange, it was one of my favourites. Doctor Quinn Medicine Woman ran for a total of six seasons and was shown in over 100 countries worldwide.
The main characters included:
Dr Michaela Quinn, Bryon Sully, Matthew Cooper, Colleen Cooper, Brian Cooper
** The second that pops into my head is Rescue 911
This show was about the calls people in real life crisis situations made to 911. The calls ranged from a person stuck in a car after an accident, to a child having to call 911 after his mother collapsed at home to a person stuck inside while his house was being robbed. Each episode showed a dramatisation of the crisis, then how the person or people called 911, and lastly how the rescue occured. Today there are alot of shows that are similar to this one, but Rescue 911 was the first of its kind which made the drama, suspence and the resemblance to reality intriguing to watch.
** Another popular tv show of the 90s was the comedy The Nanny
The most I remember about this show is that the Nanny goes to work for a rich family consisting of a single father and three teenage children. Her character had an incredibly loud squeeky voice and alot of fun energy that somehow made this show worthy of watching every week. I think, if i am remembering right, somewhere along the way the nanny and the father fell in love and the children started to look at the nanny as a mother figure. This show had alot of charm and alot of laughs, and with a character as quirky as The Nanny, it was easy to enjoy.
Other tv shows from the 90s that I can remember watching are:
** Mad About You (Comedy)
** Dark Angel (Action/Drama/Sci fi)
** Step by Step (Comedy)
** Popular (Teen Drama)
Think back and remember some of your own tv of the 90s favourites :)

The Office: TV Comedy
Steve Carrell stars in The Office which is currently in its 7th season. He was made famous in movies like The 40 Year Old Virgin and Evan Almighty. His character Michael Scott is the boss and he manages the office with blunt, stern and ignorant humour!
Some of the best quotes from The Office include:
* Michael Scott: "Would I rather be feared or loved? Um... Easy, both. I want people to be afraid of how much they love me"
* Michael Scott: "I enjoy having breakfast in bed. I like waking up to the smell of bacon, sue me. And since I don't have a butler, I have to do it myself. So, most nights before I go to bed, I will lay six strips of bacon out on my George Foreman grill. Then I go to sleep. When I wake up, I plug in the grill. I go back to sleep again. Then I wake up to the smell of crackling bacon. It is delicious, it's good for me, it's the perfect way to start the day"
* Michael Scott adding "That's what she said" to any statements made by his employees
* Michael Scott: "I think if i was allergic to dairy i would kill myself"
* Michael Scott: "I live by one rule: No office romances, no way. Very messy, inappropriate... no. But, I live by another rule: Just do it... Nike"
Check out Season 7 of The Office, its full of more hilarious office crazyness
Press pLAy : Sara Bareilles
My favourite tracks include:
* Hold My Heart
* Say You're Sorry
The album's focus is similar to Little Voice with the main theme being love and relationships.
The songs are amazing and really easy to relate to if you've ever experienced any kind of heart break.
Press pLAy and Take a listen :)
Press pLAy : Laura Izibor
Laura Izibor's new album Let the Truth Be Told is some kind of wonderful. You'll be missing out if you don't listen to this entire album.
The best tracks include:
* Don't Stay
*The Worst is Over
*What Would You Do
